Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Virginia
Being injured in a vehicle accident can have a life-altering impact on a victim. In many cases, these accidents result in severe injuries. Although we often think about accidents involving two or more vehicles, there are many accidents that involve people who are not in vehicles. Every year, thousands of pedestrians are injured when struck by motor vehicles throughout the United States. Here in Virginia, numerous people are hospitalized with life-altering injuries as a result of accidents. In many cases, vulnerable pedestrians sustain brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and broken bones, all of which require extensive medical treatment. Not only do victims endure painful injuries that prevent them from engaging in various activities, but they often face tens of thousands of dollars in medical treatment for their injuries while being forced out of work to recover.
Although there are numerous treatment options available for accident victims, none of them come with the promise of a full recovery. In fact, many victims end up losing their lives as a result of these unimaginable accidents. In some cases, families can reach out to a wrongful death attorney in Virginia to obtain compensation to help cover the financial burdens they face moving forward.
