First responders reported that the incident happened just after 7:00 p.m. on the westbound side of Interstate 264, approaching Exit 12 to Ballentine Boulevard. Though the events causing the accident remain unknown at this time, EMTs were spotted at the scene and appeared to take at least one victim to an area hospital for further treatment.

Our thoughts are with the victims injured in this crash. We hope for their full recovery.

Virginia Multi-Vehicle Accidents

Across the Commonwealth of Virginia, more than a thousand people are killed in car accidents each year. Unfortunately, another 60,000 people are seriously injured as a result of these crashes. Long after an accident, victims may experience ongoing physical ailments and health issues, as well as financial problems and emotional trauma. This is especially true if they sustain a traumatic brain injury, a broken bone or fracture, a spinal cord injury, or any other catastrophic injuries.

Sadly, it’s clear that the victims of these major accidents will face significant constraints on their road to recovery. What’s worse, the majority of car accidents occur due to one of three factors, including speeding, intoxicated driving, and distracted or reckless driving. These wrecks, typically caused by the negligence of another motorist, leave victims in devastating circumstances.

Victims frequently require medical care and continuing rehabilitation that might last months or years. As a result, they and their families might be forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket. Thankfully, victims and their families may have legal redress if they are affected by an accident that was caused by someone else’s reckless actions.
