Pedestrian Accident Deaths in Virginia

Pedestrian accidents throughout the state of Virginia claim the lives of more than 75 people each year. In many cases, victims are driving mopeds, electronic scooters, and other similar methods of transportation at the time of their accidents. These victims are often more vulnerable to serious injuries due to the fact that they are completely exposed to the impact of other vehicles in crashes.

Hundreds of victims are rushed to area hospitals after their accidents where they have to undergo emergency medical treatment and spend days or even weeks in recovery. Pedestrians often require therapy for their injuries, which is time-consuming and costly.

There may be numerous treatment options available for accident victims, though none of them come with the promise of a full recovery. In fact, many victims are left with injuries that leave them permanently disabled. Oftentimes, victims succumb to the injuries they sustained in a crash, leaving their grieving families to pick up the pieces.

When victims are injured in accidents, as a result of another person’s actions, it is crucial that they reach out to a pedestrian accident attorney in Norfolk as soon as possible to explore legal options available to them.
