Newport News, VA (October 7, 2020) – One man lost his life in a motorcycle accident reported in the Newport News area on Saturday evening. At approximately 6:30 p.m., on October 3, the Newport News Police Department was called to the scene of an accident on Warwick Boulevard.
Reports provided by authorities show that 49-year-old Anthony Levy was riding a motorcycle on Warwick Boulevard with an adult female passenger when they were struck by a sedan near the intersection with Union Street.
Levy and his passenger were rushed to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. After arriving at the hospital, Levy’s injuries were found to be life-threatening. Hospital staff tended to the injured man. However, he ended up passing away from his injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
